How did you get your graph settings to show one smooth line like that?
Power it at 6v and it will grab the network, no need to thank me :)
I wish they sold it in 100 gram rolls
can ARTA generate wht/ pink noise at a specific amplitude while reading / analyzing at the same time ?
Yes
this is not where to install the plugins, one needs to click on open plugin directory it check it first
the plugin icon does not appear
This is incredible! I would absolutely love to have one of these. I recently came across 6n16b tubes and thought it would be so cool to learn how to build a full cascading gain mini tube head with them, tho i have no idea if such a thing is possible with such tiny tubes. How is this bad boy powered?
12V and SMPS for the high voltage
There is a boost converter that boosts 12V DC to about 250V DC
im not interest sin this sheat
Congrats on whatever you did because we have no idea. Why even upload this? Lol.
What were the amperes output of the GSM's capacitor after a new one was soldered altogether ? Since the module has 2A bursts, does that mean I have to make sure the capacitor has 2A output ? I used a 2200uF/16v soldered with the on-board ceramic capacitor and got 1.7A-1.8A readings on my multimeter. Im also considering placing another capacitor onto the supply to make sure I get consistent curents (Im using a 12V 2A adapter connected onto a 5V output stepdown converter as the main supply )
DeXTer, have you a parts list? Specifically, I missed the details of your stepper and control board. Really cool solution, as automated potentiometer has a lot of applications!
do you sell he display ??
I'm designing a fairly complex stereo amplifier. This will come in VERY handy!
This video is very useful. pay attention to your connection cables, they are not always only made of copper and there are sometimes resistances which in this case cause these problems of voltage drops and parasites
Good job!
Thanks buddy . My problem is solved
Hi, does anyone know how to use this plugin with KiCad 7.0? Or maybe there is another solution? Thx
Thanks a lot!! In KiCad7 (and maybe KiCad6) this plugin is directly available to install in the "Plugin and Content Manager".
Thanks so much... was already getting frustrated before seeing this... but with the replacement, the module works well now
Hi Bro, How can I buy FUTABA M202SD08G ?
Can this module send a sms on power up? what is the best (easiest) way to achieve this?
any way to translate the model in LTspice format?
You get a SPICE model that you can import in any SPICE compatible application - i do remember that i've imported the model in LTSpice without a problem.
@DeXTeR'sWorkshop how many volts can you use to feed this board??? The datasheet says it's recomended to feed with 4v but module has a 5v pin..
Yes, because there is a drop diode on VCC that would put out around 0.7V But not all modules have it.
4 years later and it's still a great solution. Thank you!
Lmao, so fucking true 😂😂
Did ur problem solved... How please tell me.
@@Sekhar_Home I've actually used another board SIM808 Development Board EvB-3.2. Will test it tomorrow and tell you the results but in advance, the module is very sensible and should be used with a powerful (2A minimum) power supply, you can add capacitors from Vout to ground on the power supply output so it decouples the supply voltage from the module and handles the high frequency high current peaks it needs.
@@Sekhar_Home you could also have broken you module if you fed it with incorrect voltage so be careful. Double check aways and have a spare part to test following the correct steps from the beginning.
I'm also can confirm that the mod is working. I had my project connected in a good PSU but accidentally my antenna was unscrewed and the module keep reseting it's self after losing the signal with the GSM network. I changed the cap (477a) with an electrolytic 2200μF 16v (for people they are asking, you need any electrolytic cap 2200μF at least 10v) and the module just stayed alive even after losing the signal with the GSM net without resetting/rebooting. So this made me think that this is a signal problem and not a power/PSU problem. Thanks for the upload mate, subscribed.
Could you share, or indicate where I can download the display manual. I need to replace such a display in industrial equipment, and I will probably need to make a parallel bus converter that listens to the VFD display commands and converts them to another format
Man, you helped me so much. I also noticed when antena was not attached module worked, so obvious - powering problem, even with 3A power supply. I used 2200nF low ESR between VCC and GND and didin't work. I solder like you and everything working now.
Great tutorial and explanation. Changed out my capacitor with 2200uF 16V one and it finally works!
Hello. Thanks a lot for your video. It was very helpful. It's working perfectly for me on the Visual Studio Code terminal but not on device. The APK is done but doesn't work. The app close immediatly afeter openning. Have you some ideas to fix it?
add this line client.tls_insecure_set(True) It may work
Great analysis. Thanks a lot.
Hello dear, I have replaced the capacitor with 2200uF and it is still not registering. My SIM card works fine. I have provided a separate 5V with buck converter. What could be the issue?
Hey! Did u solved the problem. I have the same problem
Amazing!!! Thanks a lot!!!
This is the real problem of SIM800L and SIM800L EVB. The solution is adjust the input voltage reading the voltage on VBAT. VBAT is in the possitive capacitor terminal and GND. In the SIMCOM 800L datasheet tell us the range voltage VBAT(simcom chip) 3.4v to 4.4v. you must set the voltage between 4.2v and 4.3v on VBAT. In the case of SIM800L EVB the input voltage is near to 5.2v to 5.3v. So input voltage 5.2v 5.3v while in VBAT 4.2v 4.3v. no more fail.
My module registered to network after connecting capacitor but it's not responding to AT commands. Please help if someone has faced anything like that
Excelente video muchas gracias ya que el modulo presentaba el mismo problema, el condensador 470 uF no presentaba la capacidad que indicaba la carcasa.
Maybe with both being filtered at same time would be better. You would need a 20m bpf too.
That is a hard scenario of rfi to solve... Near freq, close antennas, same polarization, no directivity...
Good tutorial. This works in KiCad 6 now, as well.
Yes, the plugin was ported to KiCAD6 and works quite nice.

Hi Dex, can you please tell us how this set up was arranged? How does the software gets the frequency response of the pickup?
Hello, can anyone show how to replace these capacitors?
Can i get the schematic of itm
I am getting an error. Using KiCAD 6.
Not compatible with Kicad 6 as far as i know - not yet
@@YO3HEX I used the Replicate Layout plug-in in KiCad 6.0 just now, so it's been updated. I used the PlugIn and Content Manager from the main KiCad window to bring it in, rather than the method you showed of pulling the plugin from Git.

A / You must connect the module directly to the power supply with good cables, you should not use thin cables or energize the breadboard because it does not pass enough current, in my case it was solved by connecting directly to 5v 2A.
Super nice, are you making them? are they available for sale?
